Most Alexander Teachers have been developing their answer to the inevitable question: “What is the Alexander Technique?” This workshop will emphasize how you connect with your audience in verbal and non verbal ways. You will learn tools and have a chance to practice, whether you are a seasoned presenter, or are interested in finding more comfort in front of the room. Come to the first class prepared to make a 2 minute introduction of yourself to the group (what are you passionate about in life, what do you love about the Alexander technique?). Subsequent assignments will include: your compelling story; crafting your answer to the questions “So, what is the Alexander Technique? – your 60 second elevator pitch; and to arrange to give an introductory presentation so we can meet again in April to share what you learned. ACAT offers a free hands on demonstration every month, so we encourage you to sign up to present this coming year!
Registration: To confirm your space in the class, send payment in full, $100 for Members, $150 for Non-Members, payable to “ACAT”, 39 West 14th Street, Suite 507, New York, NY 10011. Payment must be received in full by 3pm on Friday, Friday, January 31, 2014 .
This course is limited to 12 students; and satisfies 8 hours of AmSAT Continuing Education requirements. All courses will be canceled due to under-enrollment.
