Poor posture has a profound effect on our health and well being. Yet the effect of posture on issues from back pain and breathing to digestion and headaches is often overlooked. Improving your posture however is not just a simple matter of standing up straight. In fact, most of us have tried that approach and it just doesn’t work. In this class we will explore practical ways the Alexander Technique can help us better understand and improve our posture so we can experience more joy and ease in everyday movement. Some work will be done on the floor. Students should bring a mat to class.

Registration for this class is through Saint Paul Public Schools Continuing Education. To register online (starting Sept 4, 2013) go to www.commed.spps.org. You will find the class listed under "Adult--Health Safety".
