What is the Alexander Technique? Join us as we explore this 100-year old kinesthetic re-education technique that helps bring about mind/body integration, releases unnecessary tension and stress that may cause injuries. Enhance your quality of life and performance in a variety of daily and work-related activities, sports and fitness, and performing arts. Benefits include: more comfort and ease, increased energy, better balance and coordination, improved breathing and posture, and changes in mental clarity and moods.

This one-hour complimentary lecture demonstration is presented by Lisa Galbraith Heyl, a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique. Lisa is a teaching member of the American Society of the Alexander Technique and has been teaching for over 24 years.

A 6-class Introduction series on the Alexander Technique will follow, starting January 31- March 7 and will include individual instruction with a group setting and one 15-minute private lesson taught by Lisa. The 6-class series is $54.

The lecture and classes will be held in the Hopkins Center for the Arts, Dance Studio, 218.
