Alexander Technique - Introduction, 6-class series, Thursday Mornings , 10 - 11:30 a.m.
What is the Alexander Technique? Join us as we explore this 100-year old kinesthetic re-education technique that helps bring about mind/body integration, releases unnecessary tension and stress that may cause injuries. Enhance your quality of life and performance in a variety of daily and work-related activities, sports and fitness, and performing arts. Benefits include: more comfort and ease, increased energy, better balance and coordination, improved breathing and posture, and changes in mental clarity and moods.
This class includes individual instruction with a group setting and one 15-minute private lesson taught by Lisa, a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique. Lisa is a teaching member of the American Society of the Alexander Technique and has been teaching for over 25 years.
Lisa is also presenting a free lecture and demonstration on the Alexander Technique on January 24, from 10 - 11 a.m.
The lecture and classes will be held in the Dance Studio, room 218. The 6-class series is $54.
