About Rebecca

Rebecca Nettl-Fiol, Alexander Technique teacher since 1990, trained with Joan and Alex Murray. She is a professor of dance at the University of Illinois and a faculty member at the Alexander Technique Center Urbana. She has been working for many years on integrating Alexander Technqiue principles into dance training and has presented her work at conferences in the U.S. and abroad. Publications include an article on dance and Alexander Technique in the Journal of Dance Education, a co-edited book: The Body Eclectic: Evolving Practices in Dance Training (2008), and a book with accompanying DVD, coauthored with Luc Vanier, Dance and the Alexander Technique: Exploring the Missing Link (2011).
