iSlouch. Text neck. Blackberry thumb. Screen squint. Selfie elbow. These all too cute labels for chronic back, neck, wrist, jaw and/or shoulder aches and inflammations are indeed indications of the widespread medical conditions attributed to misuse or overuse of our beloved mobile devices. Google any of those terms and you will find plenty of self-help articles suggesting proper "tech-posture." Yet, even the best tips and tutorials often go in one ear and out the other - not to mention the fact that they may be self-defeating if you are viewing on the very devices that caused the issues to begin with.

But, before you see your doctor, join our Smart Phones Smart Bodies workshop. Bring your phone, tablet, eReader or even your laptop (especially if you experience wrist pain with using a mouse) to this hands-on workshop where you will practice smart ways to engage with various devices, learn how to improvise ergonomic support, demonstrate key functional anatomy details through firsthand experience, and cultivate the posture-saving body-intelligence that will spare you the aches and pains.

Health professionals are encountering these tech-related complaints in younger and younger people (the so-called "digital natives"). We promise this workshop will be fun enough for teens too - so bring yours along and they will get a special rate.
