About Elizabeth

Elizabeth Johnson is a certified Teacher of the Alexander Technique (AmSAT), a Laban Movement Analyst (GL-CMA, Columbia College Chicago), holds a BFA from George Mason University and MFA from the University of Illinois. She is a university educator researching somatic integration in Dance pedagogical and creative practices and artistic director of Your Mother Dances. She has presented research on movement analysis and pedagogical practices at National Dance Education Association and other national conferences and has served as Dance faculty at UIUC, UW Madison, UNC-Greensboro, UW-Milwaukee, Texas Tech, and is an Assistant Professor of Dance at the University of Florida.
